Telangana - Cops walk barefoot on hot embers - VIDEO

SIBY JEYYA
On Wednesday, february 21, a video of telangana police officers crossing a bed of hot coals in their bare feet went viral online. According to reports, the staff members took part in the yearly CheruvugattuJatara rite in Narketpally mandal of nalgonda district while wearing their uniforms.

According to reports, the telangana police department refrained from commenting on the event and said that it was unrelated to them. During the Aggigundalu rite, which is also known as "walking on fire," devotees in the nalgonda area walk over burning coals during the festivities of Sri parvathi Jadala Ramalingeshwara Swamy Jatara. Every year, a sizable crowd of devotees swarm the Jatara to take part in the ceremony.

As the main opposition party, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), gets ready to host a sizable public meeting on february 13 on the controversial topic of turning over control of telangana projects on the krishna river to the krishna river Management Board (KRMB), nalgonda is poised to become a focal point of political tension in Telangana. BRS President K Chandrashekhar Rao announced the public meeting's scheduling during a meeting at telangana Bhavan. Stay tuned for more updates.
