Telangana Hyderabad - "They are making Invalid Accusations and Slinging Mud at us.." says Harish Rao

SIBY JEYYA
Senior Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) politician and former minister of irrigation T harish rao chastised the state administration led by the congress for accusing the previous BRS government of "corruption" in the kaleshwaram project.

"They (Congress) are hurling dirt at us and leveling unfounded charges against the kaleshwaram project. They are unaware of the project's overall scope. At a press conference held on Thursday, february 14, at telangana Bhavan, he stated, "It consists of three barrages, fifteen reservoirs, nineteen substations, twenty-one pump houses, 203 km tunnels, 1531 km gravity canal, 98 km pressure mains, 141 TMC storage capacity, 530-meter high lift, and 240 TMC usage."

Harish mocked the chief minister, saying that he "should have shown the green pastures of agricultural land" that were made possible by the kaleshwaram project, about the medigadda barrage tour undertaken by the ruling regime.
Regarding Revanth's claim that the medigadda barrage is "beyond repair," Harish clarified that the engineers say it's entirely feasible.

"Ask revanth to resign and offer me the position of chief minister if he is unable to do it. "I'll see to it that the repairs are made," he said.

‘Kaleshwaram is Telangana’s lifeline’

Even if the congress administration is making an effort to "defame" the project, the previous minister of irrigation claimed that "it is undeniably a boon and a lifeline for Telangana."

The kaleshwaram project is responsible for all the lakes, irrigated fields, springs, and water from bore pumps from Lower Manair to Suryapet. The kaleshwaram project is to blame, he said, if the Kudavelli and Haldi Vagus are gushing water and the annapurna barrage, Ranganayak Sagar, Mallanna Sagar, and Kondapochamma Sagar are full.

Congress, according to Harish, intends to "damage" the entire project because of the sinking of two pillars at Medigadda for "political mileage."

We requested in the assembly that the government restore the broken pillars and provide water to the farmers. The guilty must data-face consequences. However, do not harm Telangana's farmers and people," he continued.

Harish gave examples of projects that had suffered setbacks, saying that the impacted farmers had received compensation and that the offenders had already been apprehended and punished.

"As soon as they were constructed, projects on Kadem Vagu were demolished. The Sathnala, Ellampalli, and Singuru projects encountered a similar predicament. The Puttagandi project vanished as soon as it was introduced. Several people perished when the Punjagutta flypast collapsed under the congress administration. Additionally washed away was the polavaram project's diaphragm wall. The rayalaseema Annamayya project washed away, he claimed.

Declaring that the BRS is prepared for a damage probe, he insisted that the government comprehend the nuances of the situation and carry out repairs at a war footing.
