Telangana Hyderabad - CM flags off 100 new buses of TSRTC

Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC), a state-owned company, launched 100 new buses on saturday under the direction of telangana chief minister A. revanth Reddy. The Corporation stated that it is adding additional buses to its fleet because of the surge in passengers since the Mahalakshmi programme, which allows women to travel for free on buses, was implemented.
 
By june of this year, 1,325 new buses are expected to be put into service by the TSRTC.  138 Lahari/Rajdhani, 400 Express, 75 Deluxe, and 712 Palle Velugu are a few of these. Deputy chief minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, ministers Ponnam Prabhakar, Komatireddy venkat Reddy, D. sridhar Babu, Seethakka, a few MLAs, and TSRTC Managing director V.C. Sajjanar attended the program, which marked the official launch of 100 new buses at the B.R. Ambedkar statue on Saturday.
 
The chief minister gave Sajjanar a cheque for Rs. 535 crore to help 15 crore women travel within 60 days of the Mahalakshmi scheme's inception.
 
During the event, the chief minister stated that TSRTC workers were instrumental in the telangana struggle. He said the Mahalakshmi program was introduced to bolster TSRTC's finances.
 

Revanth Reddy pointed out that TSRTC workers, via Mahalakshmi, carried out the first of the six assurances of the congress administration.
 
He expressed his gratitude to the TSRTC employees for carrying out the plan so well in the 48 hours following its release.
 
According to the chief minister, the Mahalakshmi scheme's execution costs Rs 13 crore daily.
 
Even though the government is now having to pay between Rs 300 and Rs 400 crore a month for it, he promised that the program will carry on.
 
He also declared that ladies taking part in the Sammakka-Saralamma tribal fair would be eligible for free bus transportation.
 
He stated that the Mahalakshmi plan will utilize 90 of the new buses, of which 90 are Express buses.

Additionally, he commended TSRTC for launching ten AC Rajdhani buses on the Hyderabad-Srisailam route for the first time.
 
According to him, the government will pay TSRTC employees their outstanding debts with a sum of Rs 280 crore.
 
According to Sajjanar, the government has received a request to buy 2,200 more buses because of the increased passenger flow brought on by the Mahalakshmi plan. According to Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Deputy chief minister, every TSRTC is packed with people since Mahalakshmi was implemented.
 
He stated that TSRTC was receiving funding from the government on a monthly basis to carry out the programme.
