Telangana Hyderabad - 3 held for running fake firm to scam people in Begumpet

Panjagutta police arrested three people on Thursday, january 25, for arranging a fraudulent scam using IGS wallet PLATFORM' target='_blank' title='digital-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW">digital Centre Limited's contact center. The firm, based in jaipur with a branch at the white house building in Begumpet, has been accused of defrauding individuals across the country.
The accused suspects include Prateek Chauvey, CEO and director of IGS wallet PLATFORM' target='_blank' title='digital-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW">digital Centre Ltd, Dasari Swarnalatha, HR and Head of IGS wallet PLATFORM' target='_blank' title='digital-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW">digital Centre, and shravan Lal Sharma, a negotiator who reportedly pressured complainants into abandoning their complaints.
The authorities took action after receiving a complaint on january 10, 2024, from one of the victims who fell victim to the company's fraudulent actions. IGS wallet PLATFORM' target='_blank' title='digital-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW">digital Centre alleged to offer 300 wallet PLATFORM' target='_blank' title='digital-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW">digital services, including money transfers, bill payments, communication services, trip bookings, and numerous document-related services. However, investigations found that they only provided a portion of the claimed services.
The organization used a staff of skilled telecallers to target consumers looking for online income prospects. Claiming to be a government-backed business, the calls persuaded victims to digitally send money for alleged applications, promising large profits ranging from 30% to 35%. However, the victims were never given the promised refunds.
After collecting payments, IGS wallet PLATFORM' target='_blank' title='digital-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW">digital Centre suspended all phone calls and refused to reveal their actual location, depending primarily on whatsapp for contact.
Numerous complaints submitted on social media sites and the National Cyber Crime Claiming Portal highlighted the scam's extensive impact, with victims from all around the country claiming financial losses.
