Highest Grosser in the U.S. Is a Big Flop in India!

Hrithik roshan is facing an unusual box-office scenario: his most recent film, 'Fighter,' bombed in India, but the international numbers paint a different picture. In India, 'Fighter' grossed around 148 crores, falling shy of the 200 crore mark and being seen as a big failure. However, in North America, 'Fighter' became Hrithik's highest-grossing film and the biggest earner among indian films in 2024 thus far.

Next to 'Fighter' is 'Hanuman' ($5,124,845), however, 'Fighter' outperformed it and continues to generate respectable revenue. 'Fighter' has made $5,349,801 so far and is predicted to make $6 million during its lifespan. While North American collections present a bright image, indian statistics portray a different, tragic narrative.
In compared to the filmmaker and actress' last collaboration (Pathaan) on january 25, which scored an all-time record opening with superstar Shah Rukh Khan, "Fighter" fell 60-65% short. This suggests that Hrithik and deepika were unable to compel the public to watch the film on its opening day. 'Fighter' performed relatively well over the next three days, but after a hopeful 120 crore four-day weekend, box office revenues dropped to a meagre 7.25 crore net on Monday, sealing the film's demise. On Day 6, Tuesday, the film grossed 6.75 crore nett.
