Budget: Modi Govt gives no help to middle-class taxpayers...?

Income Tax Slab Budget 2024: Today, february 1, Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Union Budget 2024 to the Lok Sabha. This budget was only temporary due to its timing in relation to the lok sabha Elections. Announcing this, the tax slabs under the previous administration and the current administration remained the same. Although it is largely consistent with past interim budgets, the FM's announcement of zero revisions in direct and indirect taxes, including import duties, for the FY 2024–2025 has shocked the industry. The complete budget will be unveiled in July of this year, following the general elections and the establishment of the new government.

There will be no big announcements in this budget, FM Sitharaman had previously said, because the elections are scheduled for april and May of this year. In Budget 2023, the Modi administration unveiled a number of new income tax initiatives. One important announcement regarding personal taxes was the default to the new income tax structure. Still, the public can benefit from the advantages of the former tax structure.
