In a respite for Intermediate students who work long hours under pressure and stress in corporate colleges to pass competitive exams like JEE and NEET, the telangana State Board of Intermediate education (TS BIE) is considering implementing guidelines for the regulation of coaching centers that were recently notified by the Centre.
A variety of steps will be implemented beginning with the next academic year to decrease tension and anxiety among students who, under pressure, are resorting to extreme methods. According to the recommendations, schools offering coaching sessions would be forbidden from enrolling students under the age of 16, as well as charging extravagant prices.
According to these new guidelines, coaching duration is expected to be limited to no more than five hours per day, and coaching classes will not be allowed to meet early in the morning or late in the evening. "We have received guidelines and preliminary conversations have occurred. We discovered several fascinating ideas that may be adopted to improve student well-being. Before making a final decision, the Board will hold more deliberations, according to an official.
Aside from the weeklong break for both students and teachers, institutions have been instructed not to perform assessment tests or exams on the day after the weekly off. Institutions have also been encouraged to organise seminars on life skills, scientific temper and evidence-based thinking, fitness and wellbeing, emotional connection, and mental well-being for students and faculty members.
