The Rachakonda Special Operations Team, Maheshwaram zone, stormed a hookah parlour in Errakunta on sunday night and detained seven young people who were there. The authorities confiscated their cell phones, hookah pots, and flavours, among other things. The people arrested in the unlicensed hookah parlour were students.

The establishment's proprietors, Mohd Abdul Hassan and Habeeb ahmed Sagar, are on the run. The proprietors ran the 'Chill On' parlour in a building on Madina Bazaar in Errakunta Road, which was under the jurisdiction of Balapur police Station. According to authorities, the facility breached law enforcement standards and was caught operating outside of permitted business hours.

Law enforcement authorities are calling for a ban on hookah parlours in the city, citing an increase in the recovery of ganja and other narcotic drugs. According to trustworthy sources, to manage the drug-consuming culture, the telangana government has directed all authorities to firmly deal with everyone involved in drug-related jobs, from cultivators and producers to consumers. According to the administration, the hookah parlour is exclusively open for hookah smoking. Some hookah lounges sell appetizers and beverages.
Law enforcement organizations say that hookah parlours are the first step towards drugs since ganja and other narcotics have been recovered in the past. hookah parlours serve as gathering places for drug users, and since strict surveillance is maintained on Hyderabad's pubs and clubs, they emerge as alternatives.
