Amaravathi Land Buyers Hiding Behind Cameras?
In addition, as the prices rose to as much as Rs 5 crore per acre, nearly 99 percent of these farmers have sold the majority of their land. Some of them built luxurious homes, acquired luxury vehicles and gold, and took a world trip after selling their lands. The wealth was openly displayed in the communities, and it is still apparent there. Every person in the state is aware of this. Where are those buyers, nevertheless, who purchased those lands from the amaravati farmers for a few crores of rupees? The buyers registered the properties and gave the farmers the necessary funds.
But they stayed out of the public eye and gave the properties to the CRDA through land pooling in the sellers' (in this case, farmers') names. The buyers were allocated the commercial and residential plots by the CRDA, and the sellers (farmers) have now paid the annuity to those buyers. There is no secret about these agreements between the farmers and the purchasers in the 29 villages of Amaravati. Where are these buyers, I wonder? Why is there no discussion about these buyers? Why do these buyers elude detection?
