Tata Harrier Facelift Review: See the review of 2023 Tata Harrier Facelift, a great SUV with diesel engine

The new Harrier comes with massive improvements in almost all areas and scores well in important areas like styling and the new cabin. The features and cabin space are quite excellent.

Tata Harrier Facelift

The Harrier has been a long-time model in the lineup for Tata Motors it first started with an attractive concept, while it came with a manual gearbox and diesel engine, and after this Harrier Further updated with new equipment and the option of automatic. Now it is going to come to the market in almost a completely new form with a new design and more importantly new interior and a lot of technology. The only option in this is a diesel engine. We have tried driving its new manual model.

Exterior design

The look of the new Harrier is quite spectacular and its aggressive design may surprise you. Although it still has the shape of Harrier, the design techniques from the Curve Concept to the new Nexon can be seen in it. The full-length LED light bar at the front is attractive, but so is the reshaped bumper with an interesting grille design pattern.

It looks different and more aggressive. There is nothing new on the side except a different design for the 18-inch alloy wheels and LED tail lamps at the rear. Different people may choose different colors as per their choice but overall, the new Harrier now looks different and new with more aggression.

Interior

With the heavy doors open, the cabin has undergone major changes compared to the earlier Harrier. Everything is new, from the four-spoke steering with an illuminated logo to the wallet PLATFORM' target='_blank' title='digital-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW">digital instrument cluster with a large new touchscreen. However, the design of the center console has been retained. The quality has improved significantly and the contrasting colored elements with the exterior are a nice touch.

The large 10.25-inch wallet PLATFORM' target='_blank' title='digital-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW">digital instrument cluster can be configured to have a full map view via Android Auto/Apple CarPlay. The main touchscreen is a large unit and this high-quality display is quite easy to use. Below that is the new touch control panel seen on the new Nexon with two physical toggles. It's prone to fingerprints, but the controls are easy to use

Features

The feature list is quite extensive and it is now one of the best-designed SUVs in its segment, while even beating some entry-level luxury SUVs. It also gets a crisp 360-degree camera with front parking sensors dual power seats with ventilation and dual-zone climate control, voice voice-assisted panoramic sunroof with mood lighting, a gesture-powered tailgate with a blind view monitor, and 7 airbags. Other features include connected car technology with built-in Alexa and voice commands in multiple languages.

The best part is the 10-speaker JBL audio system with 13 modes similar to high-end luxury cars, which has the best sound quality and these modes give a specific sound direction as well as a different experience for each seat. Its gesture control tailgate also works very smoothly and these features now make a big difference from the old model. In terms of space, the Harrier has the best headroom in the rear seat and very good legroom, while a large central tunnel and the lack of a middle headrest make it a four-seater, but still quite big. The large panoramic sunroof further adds to the feeling of space and there are also sunblinds at the rear.

Driving experience

There is no change in its powertrain as the 2.0-liter diesel still makes do with 170bhp/350Nm. We drove the Harrier with a 6-speed manual, while the automatic gets the new shift-by-wire mechanism. The diesel engine maintains the same characteristics with some turbo lag but gets adequate torque. Although the diesel engine makes a little noise it is quite smooth. The 6-speed manual gearbox…
