Prime minister Narendra Modi, who represents varanasi in the Parliament, distributed prizes to the winners of the Sansad sanskrit Competition at Kashi Hindu University. During the event, chief minister Yogi Adityanath and other dignitaries were also present. PM Modi expressed his satisfaction and pride in seeing the younger generation contribute to the strengthening of Kashi's identity.
Referring to the city's diverse cultural and religious composition, he pointed out that people from every province and religion come to Kashi, fostering an environment where new ideas flourish.
