AP Chief Electoral Officer Going On Leave Before Counting

Gopalakrishna Dwivedi, the Chief Electoral Officer of the Andhra Pradesh State Election Commission is going on leave just before the crucial counting day. He will be on leave from Tomorrow (11th of this month) and will be back to the duty on 16th of this month. Dwivedi's Vacation will go on for five days.

Dwivedi has cited Personal Reasons for the leave. In the first phase as part of the general election, the Lok Sabha and Assembly seats in Andhra Pradesh have gone to Polling. Before and after the election, the ruling party and the Election Commission were involved in various controversies.

Even after the elections, TDP is accusing Dwivedi of trying to hamper the administration not allowing the government to function. Gopalakrishna Dwivedi previously worked as the Personal Secretary of BJP Leader, Purandeshwari when she was the Cabinet Minister in the UPA Government.
