SIBY HERALD

Protests are going on for cows to be declared the national animal of India.  A Rajasthan High Court judge shared a perplexed view on the national bird peacock, as he described both the species as "scared ones”.

"The peacock is a lifelong brahmachari (celibate). It never has sex with the peahen. The peahen gets pregnant after swallowing the tears of the peacock," Judge Mahesh Chandra Sharma when speaking with reporters.

He made this comment comparing the cow with the peacock and explaining why he believes it deserves a high national animal status. Justice Sharma also recommended to the state government should punish crimes with high penalty for cow killing should be a life term

Justice Sharma said his recommendations in court were not linked to the beef debate which creates a flutter across the country. He is a devotee of Lord Shiva and that’s is the reason behind why he considers cow as a sacred one.
