Under Construction Flyover collapses in Kolkata - Several injured and 10 feared dead

An Under Construction flyover has collapsed in North Kolkata and this has trapped most people. The incident has took place near Ganesh Talkies and the location of the bridge is also at a densely populated place.


Rescue operations are going in full throttle and witnesses say that at least 100 people could be trapped in this collapse. A witness said that a loud explosion was heard and then a crashing sound.


All of a sudden there was smoke everywhere due to the collapse. Visuals emerging from location show lots of metal and concrete. A fire is also reported under the bridge. Fire has been sparked from the spilled fuel.


As per reports 35 people were rushed to the hospital and at least a hundred people are trapped under the debris. Rajnath Singh is also in West Bengal and he expressed his deepest condolences to the bereaved families.  Here we bring you few images and tweets from the collapse
