Out of these 25, aam aadmi party is contesting one seat in Bharuch. Veteran congress leader ahmed patel used to contest elections from here. But, after his death, his daughter was a contender here.35 Muslim candidates in GujaratOnly 35 candidates from the Muslim community are contesting the lok sabha elections in gujarat, but congress has broken its tradition this time and has not given ticket to even a single person from this community in the state. Among the national parties, only BSP has fielded a Muslim candidate from Gandhinagar. Voting will be held in the state on May 7. BSP had also fielded a Muslim candidate from Panchmahal in the 2019 lok sabha elections.
