Seaplanes to Foray in Andhra Pradesh?

When it comes to making innovative investments in tourism, Chandrababu Naidu is second to none. Earlier during his stint as the CM of United AP, he successfully projected Hyderabad as a tourist destination to reckon with many new wonders as well!


Now sources say that Sky Choppers Logistics Private Limited, a Chennai based company is all to commence seaplane services in the routes of Visakhapatnam-Amaravati and Kakinada-Amaravati with an initial investment of around Rs.25crores.


The seaplane would be landing on the waters of Prakasam Barrage in Vijayawada, in Vizag it will land on sea near Bheemli and a creek close to Harita Beach resorts in Kakinada. The first phase of this project would be kicked off in three months.


The price of rides will be in the range of Rs. 3,000-Rs.3,500. This will become a huge advantage for businessman who wish to wrap up their work in one day and head back home. Sources say that other private operators will also be introducing helicopter rides from Vizag beach to Kailasgiri and the extend this to Araku in the next phase.
