Mosques and houses of Muslims being demolished in UP too
National Conference President farooq abdullah has condemned the attacks on minorities in bangladesh and pakistan Occupied kashmir (PoK). He called it very wrong and said that people of all religions should be respected. He also accused the central government of keeping silent on this issue. farooq abdullah said, "This is very wrong because people of other religions also live there. They should also respect people of other religions." He also added that the central government is not taking any concrete steps in this matter. Questioning the silence of the Center, the National Conference President said that it is the responsibility of the government to give a strong response to the human rights violations taking place in India's neighboring countries.
'Atrocities on Muslims in Uttar Pradesh too'
farooq abdullah also raised the incidents happening against Muslims in Uttar Pradesh. He said, "Muslims are being tortured in Uttar Pradesh. Their mosques and houses are being demolished." Calling it a serious matter, he slammed the central and state governments.
'It is wrong to target any religion'
Abdullah said that it is wrong to target any religion or community and the government should strictly ban such incidents. In recent times, incidents of violence against minorities have increased in bangladesh and PoK. Attacks on temples, burning of houses and incidents of communal tension have drawn international attention. At the same time, questions have been raised in india on atrocities against a particular religion. Farooq Abdullah's comment has come at a time when the debate on the safety and rights of minorities is intensifying.
