Alia Bhatt congratulates Payal Kapadia on Golden Globe nomination

Bollywood actress alia bhatt congratulated director Payal Kapadia on her nomination for a Golden Globe for her film All We Imagine As Light. She has been nominated for the 82nd Golden Globes in 2025 for Best director (Motion Picture). In addition, the movie has received a nomination at the renowned awards event for Best Motion Picture-Non-English Language.
 On social media, alia shared her joy and pleasure by writing, "History is yours." The French film Emilia Perez (which also received the most nominations at the 82nd Golden Globes), The girl alongside the Needle, I'm Still Here, The Seed of the Sacred Fig, and Vermiglio will compete alongside All We Imagine As Light in the Best Non-English language Motion Picture category.

"I am extremely honored by this nomination and thankful to the HFPA for this recognition," Payal Kapadia said in response to her nomination in an interview with india Today Digital. The honor comes as All We Imagine As Light, which has already caused a stir on the international cinema scene, continues to garner notice on a global scale. Its achievement in the Golden Globe nominations contributes to indian cinema's increasing international recognition.
 
Prior to its november 22 theatrical premiere in india, All We Imagine As Light received praise from critics throughout the world. The movie won the coveted Grand Prix at Cannes 2024, making it the first indian film to do so.
