CM Yogi honored the disabled on World Disabled Day

chief minister yogi adityanath addressed the state level award distribution and honor ceremony of meritorious students organized in the capital Lucknow on the occasion of World Disabled Day. Addressing the program, cm yogi said that "the disabled are no less than anyone else, they have proved this, the state government is running two universities today. One is Shakuntala Devi university Lucknow and the other is ram Bhadracharya university Chitrakoot, there is a need to increase their number so that they get more promotion. The students being honored today are those who have scored 75 to 90% marks. Along with this, assistive devices and tablets were also given and scholarships were also given to 2 lakh 53 thousand 211 students.

yogi adityanath said that "there should be willpower to work, the government wants to give funds, for this there is a need to move forward in a timely manner, when we came in 2017, only 7.8 lakh disabled people used to get pension, that too Rs 300 which used to remain stuck for 6-6 months, and was also eaten up in between. yogi adityanath said that today 11 lakh Divyangs are being given Rs 1000 directly in their accounts through DBT, the middleman has ended.

cm yogi listed the achievements of the government

cm yogi said, "4% reservation in government services has also been arranged for Divyang people, we also have Divyang IAS in the system. The state government is also doing a lot of other work for the Divyang people. Artificial limbs are also being distributed, tricycles etc., Rs 6 lakh is also being given to deaf and dumb children for surgery. Ramps have also been arranged in government buildings. Apart from this, free travel has been arranged in the buses of the Transport Department.
