28 Deputy District Magistrates, 1 Tehsildar, 155 Police Outposts?
Uttar Pradesh is probably the only state in the whole of india where a separate district is created for the organization of Kumbh and Mahakumbh fair and that too only for the fair period. The Uttar Pradesh government has issued a notification of the 76th district of the state for Prayagraj Mahakumbh. This district Mahakumbh will exist for four months. The mela Adhikari of this district will have equal rights as the district Magistrate. The state government has also given its approval for appointment as mela Adhikari and Superintendent of Police. A total of 67 villages have been included in this district.
Prayag district Magistrate ravindra Kumar Mandhad issued a notification of Mahakumbh mela district for organizing the fair on the instructions of the government on Sunday. The entire parade ground as well as many revenue villages have been included in this district.
According to the notification, the new district includes 66 villages of four tehsils Sadar, Soraon, Phulpur and Karchana and the entire parade area. The responsibility of the district Magistrate of the district has been given to mela Adhikari Vijay kiran Anand. This district will exist from december 1, 2024 to march 31, 2025.

In view of the extensive preparations for the maha Kumbh, the state government has already appointed Vijay kiran Anand as the mela Adhikari and Rajesh Dwivedi as the Senior Superintendent of Police. According to the notification, the mela Adhikari will have the powers of Executive Magistrate, district Magistrate and Additional district Magistrate. There will be three Additional district Magistrates, 28 Sub-District Magistrates, one Tehsildar and 24 Naib Tehsildars in the maha Kumbh mela district. Senior Superintendent of police (Kumbh) Rajesh Dwivedi said that there will be 56 police stations, 155 police posts, one cyber cell police station, one women police station and three water police stations in this entire district.
