Woman forced by habit of stealing completes half century of theft!

mumbai Crime Branch has arrested a 38-year-old woman, against whom more than 50 cases of theft are registered. police has named the arrested woman as Vanita alias Asha Gaikwad. police officer told that the case in which Vanita has been arrested is of Vashi police station of Navi mumbai, where 59-year-old Jhakir Mhadhe complained to the police that on 24th, a woman had directly approached him and said that she is poor and is looking for work.

After this, Jhakir gave her the job of maid in his house and Vanita, forced by her habit, ran away from Jhakir's house on the very next day i.e. 25th with gold and cash worth about Rs 3.5 lakh.

As soon as he got information about the incident, Jhakir lodged a complaint of this theft in Vashi police station, after which on the basis of the complaint, the police registered a case against the woman under section 306 of BS and started searching for her. An officer of Unit 7 of mumbai Crime Branch said that police Constable AS Ballal got secret information that a woman named Vanita alias Asha Gaikwad is living in a Mara Colony located in Mahal village of mumbai, against whom many cases of theft are registered. As soon as Ballal got this information, he informed the seniors and then mumbai Crime Branch laid a trap and took Vanita into custody.

Cases registered in most of the police stations of Mumbai

12 cases are registered against this woman in Juhu police station of Mumbai. 9 cases have been registered in Khar police station, 5 cases in Bandra police station, 4 cases in Santacruz police station, 3 cases in Versova police station, 2 cases in Amboli, Oshiwara and Tardeo police Stations and 1 case each in Marine Drive, Trombay, Byculla, Chembur police Station.
