53000 Cases, 10.6 Crores Fine - Hyderabad Drunk & Drive Test

In hyderabad, incidences of drunk driving have increased within the past several years. The most recent figures state that between january 1 and november 26, 2024, the hyderabad traffic police reported 53,234 incidences of drunk driving and collected a fine of Rs. 10.69 crore. Of these, 53,234 cases were made against drivers of three-wheelers, 45,394 against riders of two-wheelers, and 5364 against four-wheelers. The other types of vehicles were the subject of 69 cases.
 
Of the two-wheeler riders, 19 were apprehended for the fourth time, 101 for the third, and 2283 for the second. 3750 two-wheeler drivers who had committed the crime for the first time were imprisoned. They were imprisoned for one day to sixty days. Ninety-two riders were imprisoned for one day, 12666 for two days, 101 for three days, 1985 for four days, 122 for five days, 74 for six days, 69 for seven days, six for eight days, two for nine days, 14 for ten days, three for twelve days, two for fourteen days, ten for fifteen days, one for sixteen days, two for twenty days, and one for a month among the two-wheeler offenders.
 

573 two-wheeler offenders were required to complete a few days of public community service in the meantime. Additionally, 331 driver's licenses were suspended by the traffic police this year for a variety of infractions.
