"Sanskrit should be respected and incorporated in daily life" - prime minister Modi's insistence!

Speaking at the 111th Mann Ki Baat program after the lok sabha elections, prime minister Modi said, "Today, on june 30, the first sanskrit news report of Aagashavani was broadcast 50 years ago. For 50 years this newsletter has kept many people connected with Sanskrit. I appreciate the All india Radio family. Friends, sanskrit hasa great contribution to ancient wisdom and science. The need of the day is that we respect sanskrit and incorporate it into our daily life.

Currently, many people are making such an attempt in Bengaluru. people here at Cubbon Park, a park in Bengaluru, have started a new tradition. Here once a week, every Sunday, children, youth, and adults converse with each other in Sanskrit. Not only this, many debate sessions here are organized in Sanskrit itself. Their initiative is called sanskrit Weekend. They started it through a website. This initiative, which was started a few days ago, has become very popular among Bengaluru residents within a few days.

If we all join efforts like this, we can learn a lot from the world's oldest, scientifically oriented language. My fellow countrymen, it is great to travel with you on this version of the voice of the mind. From now on this series will continue as always. The sacred Ratha yatra is going to start after the next week. It is my wish that the grace of Mahaprabhu Jagannath shower on all the people of the country.

The amarnath Yatra has also startedand the Bandarpur Wari will also start in the next few days. I extend my best wishes to all the devotees participating in these pilgrimages. Said that.
