The state government has started working to improve the electricity system in Rajasthan. Today, chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma instructed the officials to monitor the electricity projects on a daily basis. He said that the MoUs signed with the power corporations and central undertakings should be completed on time. While giving instructions to the officials, he asked them to coordinate with the central undertakings and ensure the implementation of the MoU. He said that the departments should keep the preparations complete in view of the upcoming Rabi crop season.

The chief minister said that the government is committed to providing electricity supply to the farmers during the day. The target can be achieved through the PM Kusum scheme. Promote the PM Kusum scheme by running a campaign with the help of public representatives and make the farmers more and more aware about the benefits of the scheme. He said that through the scheme, not only solar pumps will be installed for irrigation but employment will also be generated in the local area. Under the PM Kusum scheme, the financial obstacle of the farmers in installing solar pumps should be removed.

Chief minister held a meeting on electricity problem

Collector should hold a meeting with bank representatives. More than 70 thousand farmers have benefited from the scheme under PM-Kusum Component 'B' and 2.93 lakh farmers have benefited from the scheme under PM-Kusum Component 'C'. The chief minister said that the officers should make an action plan keeping in mind the demand of the next 10 years so that future demand can be included in the current projects. He also gave necessary guidelines to the officers for installation of solar plants on rooftops in government offices. It was told in the meeting that projects of more than 31 thousand 825 MW will be established with an investment of Rs 1.60 lakh crore in the development of the energy sector.
