The fire was quickly extinguished before it spread to other floors of the building.The fire brigade team said that as soon as the news was received, fire engines were rushed to the spot. Two of these vehicles brought the fire under control within an hour. More than 30,000 liters of water was used to completely extinguish the fire.Power supply cut off on two feeders as a precautionDue to the fire incident at the bjp office, West Discom cut off power supply on two feeders. West Discom officials said that since the incident site was close to the 11 KV power line passing near the building in Javra Compound, the supply was cut off as a precaution to avoid power outage due to the fire, which was later restored.
