When the search operation started, the terrorists started firing.An encounter is going on between security forces and terrorists in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir. Security forces have killed 2 terrorists so far, while the search for other terrorists is on. police have recovered the bodies of both the terrorists.

A police officer said that the security forces had received information about terrorists hiding in Nihama area in Pulwama district of South Kashmir. After this, the army launched a siege and search operation. He said that during the search, the terrorists opened fire on the security forces and the encounter started.The officer said that two terrorists were killed in this firing. Their bodies have been recovered. Some more terrorists are suspected to be hiding. In recent times, there have been many encounters between terrorists and security forces in kashmir, in which a large number of terrorists have been killed.

Weapons recovered in Kupwara

Earlier, the police and the army had conducted a joint operation in Kupwara, Kashmir. During this, a large quantity of weapons were recovered. The army recovered the weapons under Operation 'Kot Nala'. For some time now, terrorists have been plotting to enter india from across the data-border.

Security tightened in kashmir for counting of votes

Security has been tightened a day before the counting of votes for Jammu and Udhampur lok sabha constituencies. Counting of votes is to be held in these constituencies on tuesday (June 4), in which the fate of 34 candidates will be decided. The major candidates whose fate is to be decided include senior bjp leader and Union minister Jitendra Singh, sitting mp from Jammu Jugal kishore Sharma and former minister Chaudhary Lal Singh and Congress' Raman Bhalla.Election Officer and Jammu district Magistrate Sachin Kumar Vaishya said, 'All preparations have been completed for the counting of votes to be held on june 4. Three-tier security has been put in place.' After reviewing the security measures, logistics and necessary facilities at the counting centres, the official said the counting process will take place at Polytechnic college and MAM College.
