How did one percent vote share change everything?

Maharashtra seems to be a big game this time. The path does not look easy for the ruling nda here. It is getting a tough fight from the india Alliance. In terms of numbers, parties keep an eye on winning as many seats as possible in maharashtra as it plays an important role in forming the government at the center, but here the BJP-led nda has suffered a setback. A survey conducted by C-Voter for ABP has revealed that there is only a one percent difference in the vote share between the two alliances. This one percent difference has reduced the number of seats for the NDA. Let's know how...

According to the C Voter survey, the nda is ahead of the india Alliance in terms of seats and vote share, but the difference is very less. If the nda is seen getting 23 to 25 seats here, then 22 to 26 seats can go to the account of india Alliance. Whereas in 2019, bjp had won 23 seats and undivided shiv sena, which was a part of nda at that time, had won 18 seats. nda was strengthened by the combined seats of both, but this time the situation has changed because shiv sena has also split.

NDA lagged behind not only in seats but also in vote share

On the other hand, if we talk about vote share, NDA's vote share has fallen while india Alliance's vote share has increased. nda is getting 45 percent votes. In terms of votes, india Alliance is lagging behind by just one percent. If compared to the 2019 elections, nda got 51.34 percent votes when it contested with undivided Shiv Sena. bjp got 27.84 percent of the total votes while undivided shiv sena got 23.50 percent votes. Congress-led UPA got 32.07 percent votes.
