Lala Lajpat Rai university of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (LUVAS), Hisar, haryana has achieved a success. A cataract surgery of a monkey has been done here. This was the first time in haryana that a monkey's eye surgery was done. Let us tell you that like humans, monkeys also get white cataract.

The monkey was burnt due to electric shock

RN Chaudhary, head of Animal Surgery and Radiology Department in LUVAS, said that the monkey was brought to the hospital by Munish, an animal lover from Hansi. The monkey was burnt due to electric shock. Due to which it was unable to walk. RN Chaudhary said that after many days of care and treatment, when the monkey started walking, the doctors came to know that the monkey was unable to see. He told that after this the monkey was brought to the surgery department of LUVAS for treatment.

After examination in the animal eye unit of the university, Dr. priyanka Duggal found that the monkey had developed white cataract in both eyes. She said, the vitreous in one eye was also damaged, so the other eye was operated and after the surgery the monkey could see. Cataract is a common eye disease in which there is complete or partial loss of transparency of the lens.

Monkey got a new life

On the other hand, animal lover Munish Kumar says that when the monkey got burnt due to electric shock in Hansi, he gave water to the monkey and it regained consciousness. After this, he brought the monkey to LUVAS University. Where its wounds were bandaged. After which the monkey was discharged. But when the monkey was unable to walk, he again brought it to LUVAS where the doctors found out during the checkup that the monkey was unable to see due to white cataract. After this, surgery was done on its eyes. Due to which the monkey has started seeing and has got a new life.
