DMK district Secretaries, Candidates, Vote Counting Agents consultation meeting has been announced to be held on 1st June.

Parliamentary lok sabha elections are going on. Voting is going on in 7 phases for 543 constituencies across the country. In this, while 6 phases of voting have been completed, the final phase of voting will be held on 1st june for 57 lok sabha constituencies in 8 states. The votes cast in the election will be counted on june 4 and the results will be declared on the same day.

The election commission plans to conduct the counting of votes smoothly. Similarly, political parties are also preparing for the counting of votes. Accordingly, it has been announced that a consultation meeting of DMK district secretaries, candidates, chief agents and counting agents will be held on the 1st of June.

DMK General Secretary Durai Murugan said in a statement, "According to the advice of DMK President M.K.Stal, to consult about the counting of votes to be held on june 4, under the leadership of the organization secretary RS Bharti, "district club secretaries - club candidates - chief agents and counting of votes. Agents Consultation Meeting” will be held on saturday 01-06-2024 at 11.00 a.m. through video conferencing.

DMK in this meeting. Legal Secretary NR Ilango, MP, will advise on the procedures to be followed by the Chief Agent and Counting Agents during the counting of votes.

Earlier, “More than 38,500 people will be involved in the counting of votes in tamil Nadu. For counting of votes in all centres

3,300 tables are to be set up. postal votes will be counted at 8 am. At 8.30 AM the votes cast in the electronic machines will be counted. The counting of votes at each table will be recorded on camera.” Chief Electoral Officer Satyapratha Saku had said.

As far as tamil Nadu is concerned, the first phase of voting for 39 constituencies across the state was completed on april 19. The Electronic Voting Machines and VVPod machines containing the registered votes have been sealed and placed in the counting centers set up in the respective constituencies. It is worth noting that there are 3 layers of police security, CCTV surveillance and agents of the candidates are also involved in the security work.
