Myladi recorded the maximum rainfall of 103.02 mm. 4258 cubic feet of water per second is coming into Pachiparai and Perunchani dams and 2178 cubic feet of water is being released from the dams per second. This has caused flooding in the rivers.Heavy rains lashed the Western Ghats throughout the night. 85 mm of rain was recorded in Mambazathar area, 84 mm of rain in Anaiketang and 82 mm of rain in Balamore. The district administration has issued a flood warning and advised the people of coastal areas to move to safer places.
