Handri-Neeva Project - Seema People are Deceived for Generations
The answer to the question whether the residents of andhra pradesh are being cheated for generations is yes. During the reign of YS Rajasekhar reddy, 90 percent of the Handri-Neeva project was completed and the remaining 10 percent of the work was not completed and in the last 15 years, everyone forget and are careless about it. If the unfinished works of the Handriniva project, which is the lifeblood of rayalaseema, are completed, there will be opportunities to provide ample irrigation to 61 thousand acres in kurnool district. Through this project, the people of other rayalaseema districts will also get relief from the problems of cultivation and drinking water. If the works are completed, the drought data-border will be green. Actually this project was designed by senior ntr in the year 1983.
In the year 2004, YS Rajasekhar reddy sanctioned funds and gave administrative permissions. Handriniva works started with the good intention of providing irrigation water to 6.05 lakh acres and drinking water to 35 lakh population. However, even though years have passed since the engineers sent proposals, it seems that there is no proper response from the main political leaders and the parties in power. It can be said without any doubt that Handriniva was not completed due to the negligence of tdp and YCP.
Seema farmers want to complete this project within the next five years. If Handriniva is completed, it can be said that the peasant kingdom will start again in the drought area. Information is being received that once Handriniva is completed, water will be available to 3.45 lakh acres of Ayakattu in the joint Anantapur district. It is noteworthy that both tdp and ycp are using Handriniva for their selfish politics
