Former haryana Chief minister Bhupendra Singh Hooda claimed on friday (April 26) that there will be a direct fight between congress and bjp on 9 lok sabha seats in the state. He said that all sections of the society are supporting congress and we have a good group of candidates. Predicting a direct fight between congress and bjp in the state, Hooda termed JJP and INLD as vote-cutters without directly naming them. congress, which is contesting on 9 out of 10 lok sabha seats in haryana, announced its candidates on eight seats on thursday (April 25). The party has not yet announced its candidate for the Gurugram seat.

Direct fight between congress and BJP- Hooda

According to PTI report, former haryana Chief minister Bhupendra Singh Hooda said, "There is going to be a direct fight between congress and bjp in the lok sabha elections. Others are vote-grabbing parties and voters will reject them. Former cm Hooda had earlier said that even though ajay Singh Chautala-led JJP has broken ties with bjp, both are close to each other. The former cm said that issues related to unemployment, inflation, law and order and farmers are burning issues today.

Bhupendra Singh Hooda's attack on BJP

Taking a dig at the ruling bjp in haryana, congress leader Bhupendra Singh Hooda said that they only make tall claims but have no work to show in any field. Meanwhile, haryana congress President uday Bhan also said that there will be a direct contest between congress and BJP. congress leader uday Bhan said that senior congress leaders including rahul Gandhi, priyanka gandhi Vadra and party chief mallikarjun Kharge will campaign in haryana next month.

The ruling bjp in haryana had announced its candidates for 6 lok sabha seats of haryana on march 13, three days before the announcement of general elections. The names of the remaining four candidates were announced on march 24. Voting for all the 10 lok sabha seats in the state will be held in the sixth phase on May 25.
