BJP leader Swarn Salaria increased tension! Announcement to contest!!!

Given the lok sabha elections in punjab, bjp leader Swarn Salaria has increased the tension in the party. bjp leader Swarn Salaria on monday (April 8) announced that he will contest the lok sabha elections from Gurdaspur, where his party has already announced a candidate. He also refused to contest the elections as an independent and said that he would contest on the election symbol. This will be cleared by 13th April. Swarn Salaria had contested the 2017 by-election from Gurdaspur on bjp ticket after the death of mp and actor vinod khanna, but at that time he lost the election to sunil Jakhar of Congress. Jakhar is now the punjab chief of the BJP.

Will Swarn Salaria contest elections from Gurdaspur?

BJP leader Swarn Salaria said, “I have been working in the Gurdaspur constituency for the last several years. people of my constituency are saying that they will ensure my victory. I guarantee that I will win by a margin of more than 2.50 lakh votes. Let us tell you that bjp has made former mla Dinesh Babbu the candidate from the Gurdaspur constituency. Presently sunny deol is the mp from Gurdaspur but the party canceled his ticket.

Dinesh Babbu, the candidate announced by bjp from Gurdaspur, is a three-time former mla from Sujanpur in Pathankot. However, Salaria said that he has no complaint against the bjp for not filing his nomination. I did not demand a ticket from the BJP. He said that he wished good luck to whoever had been given the ticket. Vinod Khanna's wife Kavita Khanna was also a candidate from Gurdaspur. For the first time since 1996, after the departure of the Shiromani Akali Dal, the bjp is contesting the lok sabha elections independently in Punjab. Gurdaspur was considered a congress stronghold, before which vinod khanna had won this seat in 1998, defeating the old party's five-time mp Sukhbans Kaur Bhinder. He also won in 1999, 2004, and 2004. In 2009, Khanna lost to Pratap Singh Bajwa of Congress.
