congress has to search for candidates for the by-elections of nine assembly constituencies along with candidates for all four lok sabha seats. By-elections have been announced by the election commission in six assembly constituencies, while by-elections are expected to be announced soon in three. It is expected that there will be brainstorming on the names of candidates in the meeting.

Apart from chief minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, deputy chief minister Mukesh Agnihotri and Himachal congress President Pratibha Singh, three other senior leaders have been given a place in it. These include former health minister Kaul Singh Thakur, Dr. Dhani ram Shandil, health minister in the government led by chief minister Sukhwinder Singh in himachal pradesh, and former cabinet minister Ramlal Thakur. All these three leaders are among the most senior leaders of the Himachal Congress.
