Gondwana Gantantra party (GGP) in chhattisgarh on tuesday (26 March) released its first list of candidates for 10 out of 11 lok sabha seats in the state. party officials gave information regarding the announcement of the candidates. Voting for lok sabha will be held in chhattisgarh in three phases on 19 april, 26 april and 7 May. Whereas, counting of votes will take place on june 4. party officials said that the party has announced candidates for ten out of 11 lok sabha seats in Chhattisgarh. The name of the candidate for another seat will be announced soon. National President and mla of Gondwana Gantantra party Tuleshwar Singh Markam said that the party has nominated Dr. LS uday from Surguja (ST) seat, madan Gond from Raigarh (ST), Manharan Lal Bhardwaj from Janjgir-Champa (Scheduled Caste reserved). Tuleshwar Singh Markam further said that shyam Singh Markam from Korba, Nand kishore Raj from Bilaspur, naresh Kumar Motghare from Rajnandgaon, Manharan Singh Thakur from Durg, Lal Bahadur Yadav from Raipur, Mohammad Farid Qureshi from Mahasamund and Tikam Nagvanshi from Bastar (ST) have been elected. It has been decided to take it into the field. Markam said that the candidate for the Kanker lok sabha seat will be announced soon.

GGP and BSP are fighting elections separately

GGP had contested the chhattisgarh assembly elections last year in alliance with Bahujan Samaj party (BSP) and for the first time after the formation of the state, the party had won one seat, Pali Tanakhar. Mayawati-led BSP did not get any seats in the assembly elections. Both parties have not announced any alliance for the lok sabha elections. BSP in the state has announced candidates for two lok sabha seats Janjgir-Champa and Bastar.
