So far 20 people have died due to poisonous liquor in Sangrur district of Punjab. The opposition is also continuously attacking the punjab government regarding poisonous liquor. Meanwhile, chief minister Bhagwant Mann reached Sangrur today. cm Mann met the families of those who died due to drinking poisonous liquor. He has also posted on his social media account X. He wrote that recently there had been many deaths in Sangrur district due to drinking poisonous liquor. cm Mann said that today I went to the spot and met the victims' families and assured them of help at all times. He further wrote that these murderers of innocent people will not be spared. The accused will be given strict punishment as per law. Let us tell you that Sangrur is the home district of cm Bhagwant Mann.
20 people have died, 6 arrested
20 people have died due to poisonous liquor in Sangrur district. While giving information on Saturday, ADGP Gurinder Dhillon said that 40 people have come forward as victims of poisonous liquor. 20 of them have died. So, out of 20, 11 patients are undergoing treatment in Rajindra Hospital, patiala and 6 more people are undergoing treatment in Civil Hospital, Sangrur. Now 6 accused have been arrested in connection with the case. Along with this, 4 SITs have been formed under the leadership of a director General of police (ADGP) rank officer to investigate the case.
The opposition is attacking the government.
Apart from punjab Congress President amarinder singh Raja Wading, Pratap Singh Bajwa, Shiromani Akali Dal President Sukhbir Singh Badal, and mp Harsimrat Kaur Badal had targeted cm Bhagwant Mann regarding the case of death due to poisonous liquor.
