CJI, supreme court judges congratulate Cook's daughter...

The daughter of a judge's cook was congratulated on wednesday by Chief Justice of india Dhananjaya Y Chandrachud and other supreme court judges on her acceptance of several master's degree offers in law (LL.M.) from prominent international colleges. Before the day's proceedings got underway, the justices convened in the judges' lounge of the supreme court. Pragya, 25, and her parents received a standing ovation. Pragya is currently employed as a legal researcher for the supreme Court's in-house think tank, the Centre for Research and Planning (CPR).

The Chief Justice of india, who also gifted her parents shawls and three volumes on the indian Constitution autographed by all of the highest court judges, stated that it is unacceptable for a diligent student in our nation to be without resources. "It is not solely the government's job to make sure that every child who aspires to excel in sports or further their education can realize their goals," he said to news agency PTI, which made public the video that captured the moment in the judges' lounge.

In addition to wishing Pragya well in her future endeavors, other judges also congratulated her on receiving admission offers from a number of prominent law schools, including Michigan Law School, Chicago Law School, Columbia Law School, and Michigan Law School, which has also extended a scholarship offer to her.

Judge Chandrachud's gesture, together with that of the Chief Justice, moved Pragya, who stated it motivated her. "His words are like gems, and he encourages young lawyers." "He inspires me," she remarked.
