27 lakh people are getting pension benefits in Jharkhand

As per report jharkhand government started pension scheme for women who have completed 50 years of age. people above 50 years of age belonging to scheduled caste and Scheduled Tribe (SC-ST) category will also be able to avail the benefit of this scheme. cm Champai Soren transferred the pension amount to the beneficiaries in a program organized at Khelgaon, ranchi on Wednesday. Under this scheme, cm Soren transferred an amount of Rs 31.6 crore as the first installment of pension to the accounts of about 1 lakh 58 thousand beneficiaries through DBT.

Perhaps the government has named it 'Sarvajan Pension Yojana'. So far, 2 lakh 22 thousand beneficiaries have been selected under this in the entire state. Earlier the minimum age limit for pension was 60 years. Last November, the government increased the minimum age limit for women and Scheduled Castes and Tribes to 50 years.

Now about 27 lakh people are getting pension benefits in the entire state. The chief minister also launched the Widow Remarriage Scheme on Wednesday. Under this, eligible women will be given financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh from the government. Widow women falling in the category of government employees, pensioners and income tax payers will not be able to get the benefit of the scheme.

Moreover on this occasion, the chief minister said that for the first time in the country, our government is encouraging those widowed women, whose life may have come to a standstill, to remarry. Our government had also started giving pension to single women and destitute abandoned women without divorce in the country to provide them financial support. minister Baby Devi was also present in the program organized to launch these schemes.
