When Madhuri Dixit's Lips Turned Blue, She Froze While Filming A Song In Alaska With Anil Kapoor
Bollywood diva madhuri dixit once opened up about the hardships she endured while filming the iconic ‘Kismat Se Tum Hum Ko Mile’ from ‘Pukar’ in Alaska.
Bollywood's love affair with chiffon sarees and snow-capped mountains is well known. From the legendary sridevi to the contemporary alia bhatt, many bollywood actresses have shown us our dance moves in the backdrop of kashmir or the swiss Alps. Shooting these songs in freezing temperatures, clad in a delicate saree, is no easy feat. Bollywood diva madhuri dixit once opened up about the hardships she endured while filming the iconic ‘Kismat Se Tum Hum Ko Mile’ from ‘Pukar’ in Alaska.
Madhuri on shooting for the song in Alaska
In 2022, while talking about the song Madhuri said that while anil kapoor was wearing jeans, a t-shirt, and a black jacket, she wore a light blue chiffon saree. Madhuri told bollywood Hungama, "The first evening I couldn't do it. When we went there by the afternoon we were on the glaciers and it started getting cold, byevening it was 4-4:30 pm. Farah (Khan) was the choreographer and she said 'Everybody sings' and I am like 'I am singing.' But my lips were not moving because I had frozen completely."
Her lips were turning blue
She added, "There was a doctor on location because it's very chilly, so there has to be someone on standby. Shecame up to me and said 'Nono no, her lips are turning blue. Pickup.' So the first day was bad. The next day we started getting a little adjusted to the cold andwe knew how to dress up for that. It was a chiffon saree so I couldn't do much. But still, we tried to keep me warm, they had a person on standby with white chadar who used to come running and put it around me, and give me like a small heater after the shot was over."
