At least 50 farmers, who were trying to march to delhi citing 'unfair' the compensation for more than 1800 acres of agricultural land purchased by the haryana government, were detained by Gurugram police in Manesar. police said that the protesters were taken to Manesar police Lines in two buses. An official said that more than 500 policemen were deployed in Manesar to stop these farmers from moving towards Delhi.

Section 144 imposed in Manesar

The entire Manesar was converted into a cantonment in the morning. When the farmers started moving towards delhi in the morning, the police took them into custody. Manesar Assistant police Commissioner Surendra Singh said that Section 144 has been imposed in the area and the police will deal strictly with the violators.
