delhi traffic police issued a traffic advisory on sunday (February 11) ahead of the farmers protest scheduled on february 13. According to the advisory issued by the authority, traffic restrictions/diversion will be imposed at Singhu data-border from 12.02.2024 for commercial vehicles and from 13.02.2024 for all types of vehicles. Thousands of police personnel have been deployed on Delhi's data-borders with neighboring states. Ahead of the delhi Chalo movement, authorities have strengthened perimeters with concrete blocks, road spike barriers and barbed wire.

According to an official release, traffic restrictions or diversion will be imposed on the Singhu data-border with haryana from monday (February 12). Passengers going from delhi to UP via Ghazipur data-border have also been asked to adopt alternative routes. The traffic police advisory highlights several alternative routes that can be used by different vehicle categories in the next few days. Barricades have already been installed in some areas and police checking has intensified on the Ghazipur data-border.

Called for protest on 13th February

Extensive security arrangements have been made after the call of 'Delhi Chalo' march on february 13 by several farmer unions. The Samyukt Kisan Morcha (Non-Political) and several farmer unions have called for protests to put pressure on the Center to accept their demands. This also includes making laws to guarantee minimum support price for crops.

Many teams have also been formed

Prohibitory orders under Section 144 were imposed in the northeastern district of the national capital on sunday and police have banned public gatherings on all data-borders between delhi and Uttar Pradesh. Several teams have also been formed to keep a strict vigil at bus stands, metro stations, railway stations and roads to ensure that the protesters do not enter the city using any other mode of transport.
