Minister Udayanidhi stalin has requested prime minister Modi to provide us with the necessary funds for at least the last term of your rule as the parliamentary elections are coming soon.

The tamil Nadu government has been constantly accusing the central bjp government of discriminating in the allocation of funds to the states. In this situation, following tamil Nadu, karnataka and kerala have also started putting pressure on the central government by putting forward the same demand.

As part of this, the kerala government today protested with the state ministers at the Jandar Mantar area of delhi demanding proper distribution of funds for their state. Following this, the DMK in tamil Nadu claimed that the central government was cheating by not providing funds for tamil Nadu and distributed alwa to the public in various areas and claimed the discrimination of the central government.

In this case, tamil Nadu sports Development minister Udhayanithi stalin said in a statement, "Even though tamil Nadu has paid Rs. 6 lakh crore in taxes in the last 5 years, the Union government has returned only Rs. 1.58 lakh crore as tax distribution.

However, they have given almost Rs.7 lakh crore in tax distribution to Uttar Pradesh, which collected Rs.3.41 lakh crore in taxes. When they ask for funds to join tamil Nadu, they ask for respect in return. Hon'ble, Hon'ble prime minister, Union Finance minister, tell me now whose respectable father we asked for house money?

At least during the last period of your rule, give us our due share of funds.”
