Manish Sisodia sought permission to meet his ailing wife in police custody two days a week?

Reportedly former delhi Education minister and AAP leader manish Sisodia has got relief from the court. Now he will be able to meet his ailing wife Seema Sisodia once a week. During this time, doctors will also be able to meet him. This arrangement will remain in force until further orders. Delhi's Rouse Avenue court gave permission. The court will hear the next hearing on manish Sisodia's regular bail plea on february 12. Rouse Avenue court has allowed manish Sisodia to meet his wife once a week in police custody (custodial parole). He had sought permission to meet his ailing wife in police custody two days a week.

As per report manish Sisodia has sought early hearing of his two curative petitions filed in the supreme court challenging the decision to deny him bail in 2023 in a corruption and money laundering case related to the alleged delhi Excise Policy scam.

Moreover senior advocate abhishek Singhvi, appearing for Sisodia, told Chief Justice D.Y. Chandrachud, Justice J.B. Pardiwala and Justice manoj mishra that he (Sisodia) has been in jail for a year and has requested for immediate listing of these curative petitions. "I have already requested for listing of the petitions," the Chief Justice said. I have given instructions. The apex court had on december 14, 2023, rejected a plea seeking review of its october 30 decision rejecting the bail pleas of Sisodia in corruption and money laundering cases related to the alleged delhi Excise Policy scam. The apex court said this Sisodia was denied bail on the grounds that the evidence filed by investigating agencies appeared to support the contention of "unexpected gains" of Rs 338 crore. Sisodia was booked by the Central Investigation Agency for his alleged role in the scam. Bureau (CBI) arrested on february 26, 2023.
