When vacating a common seat like Gandey for by-election - Recently, in a political development, hemant Soren had asked Sarfaraz Ahmed, mla from Gandey seat of Giridih, to resign. Gandeya assembly is a general seat. Sources say that if hemant had to make Shibu Soren or his mother Rupi Soren the chief minister, he would have vacated a tribal reserved seat, but hemant has got a general seat like Gandey vacated. Kalpana is originally from Mayurbhanjan, Odisha. Kalpana and hemant were married in 2006. In jharkhand, there has been an uproar earlier also regarding Kalpana taking benefit from the tribal quota. Due to not being a native, Kalpana cannot contest elections on the tribal reserve seat of Jharkhand. It is being said that this is the reason why hemant got the general seat vacant instead of the tribal seat.
Perhaps after taking Kalpana to public programs since last one year Kalpana Soren was seen for the first time in the Legislative party meeting at the Chief Minister's residence in ranchi on Tuesday. However, for the last one year, Kalpana has been seen several times on stage with hemant Soren in public programs. According to JMM sources, hemant is trying to train Kalpana completely, hence he takes his wife with him in most of the programs. His teachings are also in favor of imagination. Kalpana, who did her primary studies from Kendriya Vidyalaya, also has B.Tech and MBA degrees. Presently Kalpana is working as the director of a school in Ranchi.
