What claim did DK Shivakumar made? Attacked BJP
Accordingly karnataka Deputy cm DK Shivakumar made a big claim on friday (January 26). He said that bjp is trying to woo congress MLAs, but we too are not keeping quiet and many bjp leaders are in touch with them. karnataka congress President DK Shivakumar accused bjp of making every effort to include congress leaders in the party. He said, “I am talking to many (BJP) leaders, many people are looking at us, I do not want to reveal their names. Regarding the claim of some bjp leaders to be in touch with many congress leaders and MLAs, DK Shivakumar said, "Don't they know that I am also in touch with them? Have they abandoned me? “Should I read the list…let’s not do that right now.” In fact, former karnataka chief minister Jagadish Shettar had left congress and again joined bjp on thursday (January 25). Shettar had joined congress after he was not given bjp ticket before the assembly elections last year.
Meanwhile DK Shivakumar said that Shettar had joined congress unconditionally after accusing bjp of insulting and misbehaving with him. He said that considering him (Shettar) a senior leader, congress gave him a ticket to contest the assembly elections and despite him losing the election by a margin of about 35,000 votes, the party made him a Member of the Legislative Council (MLC).
Moreover he said, “Instead of not giving ticket to a loyal party worker, we gave him (Shettar) the ticket and treated him with respect. We were aware that bjp leaders had been contacting him for the last two-three months and he kept saying that he would not leave the party. I had talked to him the day before yesterday, but suddenly he announced to leave the party.
