School education and Literacy Department minister Madhu Bangarappa said that 500 government schools in the state are being converted into karnataka Public Schools next year.


On Tuesday, when he visited Shivlingappa Basappa Horatti Public school of Yadahalli in Mudhol taluk, he received an honor from the school officials and said that the country's asset is in children's education and 500 schools are being taken up in the first phase. He said that he visited Horatti Public school of Yadahalli, which is a model for the state, and came to see the facilities here.


From LKG to PUC to Smart Class, all kinds of facilities are being provided in karnataka Public Schools. A private school is being developed in a way that excels. Facilities for learning including well-equipped laboratory and playground are being provided. In the first phase, 500 schools in the state are being developed. He said that after the next three years, the government intends to convert 3,000 government schools into karnataka public schools, one for each gram panchayat.


Former chief minister Bangarappa, former President Abdul Kalam and many others have worked in high-ranking positions in government schools. The wealth of the country lies in the learning of children and more emphasis is being given to the education of children. All children should come to school. Arrangements are being made for children to come to school. We need Chairman Horatty's guidance on public school transformation. He said that he would personally give ₹5 lakhs to Yadahalli Model school and other cooperation is also being given.

Vidhan Parishad member Pratapa simha Nayaka said that the children of this part are really lucky. Chairman Basavaraja Horatti thanked him for seeing the establishment of an educational institution which would be a model for the state in the village where he was born. Children have power. It should be the job of working with that power by educating them and bringing them out. 24 hours doesn't make any difference. Time management is important, he said.


Another Vidhan Parishad member UB Venkatesha said that it is a matter of pride to have a government school like this in Yadahalli. Along with children's reading, culture is also important. One should think about home, society and country. What we should do should come to our mind. Chairman Horatti has made it a model school. He said that students should study well and bring their name. On this occasion, GP Sashidhara Kurera, Deputy director of Public education Department BK Nandanur, Mudhola Tehsildar Vinod Hatnalli, Public school Principal VP Petlura, Vice Principal Rajasekhara Hiremath and others were present.


The school has been developed to be a model for educating rural children from nursery to graduation. A separate dormitory and hi-tech toilets have been constructed for male and female students. The teachers here are also teaching during the rest of the school term. Vidhan Parishad Speaker Basavaraja Horatti said that it has emerged as a good public school.
