Big blow to Congress MLA Sukhpal Singh Khaira in Punjab
In punjab, congress mla Sukhpal Singh Khaira has suffered a major setback. While hearing the revision
application of the state government, the Jalalabad court has given two-day police remand of Khehra. Will appear
in court again on october 12. police will present Sukhpal Singh Khehra in Jalalabad court only.
It is noteworthy that punjab Congress’s firebrand mla Sukhpal Singh Khehra was arrested from his Chandigarh
home in a drugs case. Khehra was arrested by the police in the drug smuggling case of 2015. After this, the
Jalalabad court on thursday gave two-day police remand to Khehra and he was kept in the CIA staff office in
Fazilka. The police was asking for remand for seven days.
Raja Varing had met the Governor
Following Khaira’s arrest, a congress delegation including punjab congress president amarinder singh Raja
Waring and opposition leader Pratap Singh Bajwa had met governor Banwarilal Purohit and apprised him about
the retaliatory action of the AAP government against Khaira. Intervention was sought.
ED had searched eight places related to Khehra
Meanwhile, aam aadmi party spokesperson Malvinder Singh Kang had said that the government is working to
eliminate the drug mafia from the state. The government has zero tolerance against the drug mafia. Kang had
