Sanjay Singh is remanded to the ED until october 10...


The Enforcement Directorate was granted five days of custody of sanjay singh, an aam aadmi party member, by a delhi court on Thursday.  A day after the AAP leader was detained by the government agency as part of its money laundering investigation in the excise policy case, the Rouse Avenue court issued its ruling. Singh reacted angrily to the court's decision by stating, "False and spurious accusations, we are not nervous, and we are going to fight back."

The investigation team had requested a ten-day detention of Singh during the hearing in order to present the AAP mp with the case's wallet PLATFORM' target='_blank' title='digital-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW">digital evidence. Senior attorney Mohit Mathur argued in court on behalf of sanjay singh, saying, "This case investigation keeps going and will never stop. Star witness Dinesh Arora was initially accused by both agencies before switching to being an approver in the case. Singh's attorney disagreed with the ED's request for remand and claimed that Singh's petition for a 10-day hold was unreasonable given his lack of involvement in the case.

Sanjay Singh declared that his detention was "Modiji's injustice and he would lose the election" before to his court appearance. The ED said in its chargesheet that Singh was instrumental in the creation and execution of the excise policy, which has since been abandoned. It stated that the policy had benefited a number of merchants, wholesalers, and producers of alcoholic beverages. During a reception at his own restaurant, Arora allegedly met Singh, who introduced him to Sisodia. According to the agency, sanjay singh called Arora and requested him to contact other restaurant owners for donations to help pay for the 2020 delhi assembly election.
