The Enforcement Directorate was granted five days of custody of sanjay singh, an aam aadmi party member, by a delhi court on Thursday. A day after the AAP leader was detained by the government agency as part of its money laundering investigation in the excise policy case, the Rouse Avenue court issued its ruling. Singh's attorney disagreed with the ED's request for remand and claimed that Singh's petition for a 10-day hold was unreasonable given his lack of involvement in the case.Sanjay Singh declared that his detention was "Modiji's injustice and he would lose the election" before to his court appearance. The ED said in its chargesheet that Singh was instrumental in the creation and execution of the excise policy, which has since been abandoned. It stated that the policy had benefited a number of merchants, wholesalers, and producers of alcoholic beverages. During a reception at his own restaurant, Arora allegedly met Singh, who introduced him to Sisodia.
