Utpal Dutt's early education took place in Shillong, after which he was sent to calcutta (now Kolkata) for
higher education. After studying english Literature at St. Xavier's College, kolkata, he joined bengali and
english theatre. Apart from this, his film journey also started. He played the role of Villain in Amitabh
Bachchan starrer film The Great Gambler and Inquilab. Talking about Utpal Dutt's films, the list includes

Apart from acting, Utpal Dutt was also very active in politics. He used to target the government through his
