Telangana Health Minister tells to Spread awareness on conjunctivitis

On Tuesday, T harish rao, the minister of health, gave the health department specific instructions to concentrate on raising awareness of the precautions, prevention, and treatment of conjunctivitis and other seasonal illnesses. In a review conference with medical officers and superintendents from all districts, harish rao addressed concerns about the increase in instances of eye infections and other seasonal ailments during the rainy season and announced that the OP services at the state-run Sarojini Devi Eye Hospital, Mehdipatnam, will be expanded.
The review meeting's senior medical officials reported that these illnesses frequently come with viral fevers and other symptoms including redness, watery eyes, and edoema. According to the minister, Asha and ANMs would be essential in helping to identify infected people based on their symptoms and ensuring that they receive care from neighbouring hospitals. The promotion of hygiene is another area of emphasis in Gurukul and State-run residential schools.
All government hospitals, including PHCs and Palle Dawakhanas, had an adequate supply of essential medications on hand, including eye drops and ointments. According to a press release, hospital superintendents are responsible for maintaining hygiene standards and ensuring that infection control procedures are in place.
